Responsibilities
- Analyze complex municipal policies and legislation to recommend evidence-based solutions
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research on urban development, sustainability, and equity initiatives
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for City Council and executive leadership
- Coordinate cross-departmental projects addressing homelessness, transportation, and economic growth
- Develop performance metrics to evaluate policy implementation effectiveness
- Engage with community stakeholders and advocacy groups through public forums
- Monitor state/federal legislation affecting municipal operations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis tools (SPSS, R, or Python)
- Demonstrated success in writing policy briefs and legislative recommendations
- Experience with Denver municipal government operations preferred
- Valid Colorado driver's license required
- Ability to obtain Top Secret clearance
