Responsibilities
- Develop and analyze complex policy proposals aligned with state strategic goals
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research using advanced statistical methodologies
- Collaborate with legislators, agencies, and stakeholders to implement policy solutions
- Present findings to legislative committees and executive leadership
- Monitor policy implementation impacts and recommend evidence-based adjustments
- Manage multi-million dollar budgets for assigned programs
- Mentor junior analysts on research methodologies and policy frameworks
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years progressive policy analysis experience in government/nonprofit
- Expertise in quantitative analysis (SPSS, R, SAS) and qualitative research
- Proven track record developing legislative proposals and budget analyses
- Strong stakeholder management and legislative testimony experience
- California residency required; knowledge of CA government structure
- Valid California driver's license
