Responsibilities
- Analyze complex policy data and draft actionable recommendations for state legislative initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement community-driven programs
- Conduct stakeholder engagement with local government agencies, nonprofits, and community leaders
- Monitor policy implementation outcomes and prepare impact assessment reports
- Represent the agency at public forums and legislative hearings
- Develop quantitative models to evaluate policy effectiveness
- Mentor junior analysts on research methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or nonprofit sectors
- Proficiency in statistical software (R, Python, or Stata) and GIS mapping
- Demonstrated experience with California legislative processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Valid California driver's license
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass background clearance
