Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive policy research and impact analysis on healthcare, education, and economic development initiatives
- Develop legislative frameworks and regulatory proposals for Governor's office review
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions with state agencies, community organizations, and industry partners
- Prepare detailed policy briefs and executive summaries for legislative decision-making
- Monitor federal policy changes and assess implications for New York State programs
- Manage program evaluation projects using quantitative and qualitative methodologies
- Present findings to legislative committees and senior government officials
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis tools (SPSS, R, or STATA)
- Demonstrated experience drafting legislative proposals and regulatory documents
- Strong understanding of New York State government operations and legislative processes
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to present complex data clearly
- Valid New York State driver's license (for occasional travel)
