Responsibilities
- Research, analyze, and evaluate complex policy issues across state agencies
- Develop evidence-based recommendations for legislative and regulatory initiatives
- Prepare comprehensive reports, briefings, and presentations for senior leadership
- Collaborate with stakeholders including legislators, community groups, and industry partners
- Monitor implementation of enacted policies and assess effectiveness
- Lead cross-functional teams on special projects and policy initiatives
- Advise on emerging trends and best practices in public policy
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive policy analysis experience in government or non-profit
- Expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
- Proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders
- Knowledge of New York State government operations and legislative processes
