Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive policy briefs and legislative recommendations for statewide health initiatives
- Analyze complex healthcare data to identify emerging trends and program effectiveness
- Coordinate cross-agency task forces to implement public health emergency response protocols
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions with community leaders and healthcare providers
- Monitor federal/state legislative changes and assess operational impacts
- Mentor junior analysts and supervise policy implementation projects
- Present findings to legislative committees and executive leadership
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit sector
- Expertise in healthcare policy, data analytics, and program evaluation
- Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable policy recommendations
- Strong stakeholder management and legislative process knowledge
- Illinois residency required (or ability to relocate within 30 days)
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel statewide (10-15% time)
