Responsibilities
- Develop and analyze state economic policy recommendations for legislative review
- Lead cross-departmental task forces on urban development initiatives
- Prepare comprehensive reports on policy impacts using quantitative/qualitative methods
- Coordinate with federal agencies and local government partners
- Manage grant programs supporting small businesses and workforce development
- Present findings to senior officials and legislative committees
- Monitor policy implementation effectiveness through stakeholder feedback
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (SQL, R, or Python)
- Proven track record in developing evidence-based policy recommendations
- Strong understanding of Washington state legislative processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
