Responsibilities
- Analyze complex state legislation and regulatory frameworks to develop actionable policy recommendations
- Lead cross-departmental task forces addressing urgent healthcare access challenges in Southern Nevada
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research using advanced statistical modeling tools
- Prepare comprehensive briefings for executive leadership and legislative stakeholders
- Oversee implementation of $50M+ infrastructure grant programs across Clark County
- Coordinate with federal agencies on Medicaid expansion and broadband initiatives
- Mentor junior analysts through structured professional development programs
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field (required)
- 5+ years progressive policy analysis experience in government or regulated environment
- Advanced proficiency in SPSS, R, or SAS for quantitative analysis
- Proven track record developing evidence-based policy recommendations
- Active Nevada government security clearance (or ability to obtain within 60 days)
- Expertise in healthcare policy or infrastructure funding mechanisms
- Professional certification (e.g., PPFA, CPP) preferred
- Ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced legislative cycles
