Responsibilities
- Analyze complex state legislation and federal regulations for policy implications
- Develop comprehensive policy briefs and recommendations for legislative committees
- Collaborate with agency stakeholders to implement evidence-based solutions
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research using public data sources
- Present findings to policymakers and executive leadership
- Monitor legislative sessions and track emerging policy trends
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R) and data visualization
- Deep understanding of Texas legislative process and state agencies
- Exceptional written communication and briefing skills
- Texas residency required at time of hire
