Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive health policy recommendations through quantitative analysis and stakeholder engagement
- Lead interagency task forces for emergency response coordination during public health crises
- Author legislative briefs and testimony for state legislative sessions
- Manage $5M+ grant portfolios ensuring compliance and measurable outcomes
- Design and implement data-driven evaluation frameworks for program effectiveness
- Mentor junior analysts while maintaining expert-level technical oversight
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years progressive policy analysis experience in state/federal government
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, SAS, or Stata)
- Demonstrated success in developing evidence-based policy recommendations
- Valid Texas driver's license and ability to travel statewide
- Superior written and verbal communication skills for executive audiences
- Professional certification (e.g., CPPA) or equivalent experience
