Responsibilities
- Design and implement statewide public health initiatives targeting chronic disease prevention and maternal health
- Manage multi-million dollar federal grants ensuring compliance and measurable outcomes
- Lead cross-functional teams of epidemiologists, health educators, and community outreach specialists
- Develop health equity strategies for vulnerable populations including rural and underserved communities
- Collaborate with CDC and CMS on pandemic response and healthcare access programs
- Present findings to legislative committees and executive leadership for policy recommendations
- Oversee quality assurance processes for public health service delivery across 67 counties
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Minimum 7 years of progressive public health leadership experience with 3+ in government
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or Healthcare Executive (CHE) credentials
- Expertise in healthcare policy analysis and grant management (HRSA, CDC experience)
- Proven track record in health equity initiatives and community-based participatory research
- Advanced data visualization skills with Tableau/Power BI and epidemiological modeling
- Strong legislative affairs experience and crisis management capabilities
