Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee comprehensive public health strategies aligned with CDC and Tennessee Department of Health guidelines
- Manage emergency response protocols for disease outbreaks and public health crises
- Lead community health assessment initiatives and data-driven program evaluation
- Coordinate with federal/state agencies to secure grant funding and regulatory compliance
- Supervise multidisciplinary teams of health professionals and community outreach specialists
- Present policy recommendations to city council and public health advisory boards
- Implement health equity initiatives targeting vulnerable populations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Administration, or related field (MPH preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive public health management experience in government or non-profit sectors
- Advanced certification in Public Health (CPH) or Healthcare Administration
- Proven expertise in health program development and budget management ($500k+)
- Demonstrated success in securing federal/state grants (SAM.gov experience)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA, CLIA, and Tennessee public health regulations
- Exceptional crisis communication and stakeholder management skills
