Responsibilities
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify public health threats and recommend evidence-based interventions
- Coordinate multi-agency emergency response protocols for communicable disease outbreaks
- Develop policy briefs and stakeholder reports for federal/state/local government partners
- Lead cross-functional teams implementing public health programs across 58 counties
- Manage grant-funded projects with budgets exceeding $5M
- Testify before legislative committees on public health legislation
- Oversee data quality assurance for state immunization registries
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years government/public sector experience with crisis response
- Advanced proficiency in SAS, R, or SPSS for statistical modeling
- Current California Public Health Analyst certification (CPHA) or equivalent
- Proven track record of managing federal grant compliance (HRSA/CDC)
- Experience with HIPAA/FERPA compliance in government settings
- Valid California driver's license with clean record
