Responsibilities
- Develop evidence-based health policy recommendations for state legislative review
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health threats and trends
- Coordinate cross-agency emergency response protocols for public health crises
- Lead community health assessments and program evaluations
- Manage grants totaling $1M+ for public health initiatives
- Present findings to state policymakers and stakeholder coalitions
- Mentor junior analysts on public health data methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in state/local government health programs
- Advanced proficiency in SAS, R, or SPSS for statistical analysis
- Experience developing public health emergency response plans
- Valid California driver's license
- Certified Public Health Professional (CPH) preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and GIS mapping tools
