Responsibilities
- Design and implement disease surveillance systems for communicable and chronic conditions
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends and recommend targeted interventions
- Develop public health policies and protocols in alignment with state and federal regulations
- Coordinate multi-agency emergency response plans for health crises
- Lead community outreach initiatives to promote preventive health measures
- Manage grant-funded projects and ensure compliance with reporting requirements
- Train healthcare professionals on public health best practices and regulatory updates
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health analysis or epidemiology
- Proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R, SAS) and data visualization tools
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Experience with grant writing and federal/state compliance
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA and public health privacy regulations
