Responsibilities
- Analyze complex epidemiological data to identify health trends and emerging threats
- Develop evidence-based public health interventions and policy recommendations
- Coordinate cross-agency health initiatives with local, state, and federal partners
- Manage grant-funded programs and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Prepare comprehensive reports for city council and stakeholder presentations
- Lead community outreach campaigns on public health awareness
- Maintain accurate health surveillance databases and reporting systems
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in public health analysis or similar role
- Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation
- Proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, SAS, R) and GIS mapping
- Certified Public Health Professional (CPH) designation preferred
- Demonstrated experience with federal grant management (HRSA, CDC)
- Ability to work evenings/weekends for community events as needed
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass background clearance
