Responsibilities
- Analyze population health data using statistical software (R, SAS, or Python) to identify emerging health trends
- Develop and evaluate public health intervention programs targeting underserved communities
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for county commissioners and public health leadership
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to implement disease surveillance protocols
- Secure and manage federal/state public health grants totaling $1M+ annually
- Lead community health assessment initiatives using GIS mapping technologies
- Mentor junior analysts while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and CDC guidelines
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in public health data analysis and program evaluation
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis and data visualization tools
- Proven experience with public health grant writing and compliance
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Experience with community health assessment methodologies
- Strong written/verbal communication skills for stakeholder engagement
