Responsibilities
- Oversee electronic health record (EHR) systems ensuring HIPAA/GINA compliance and data integrity
- Coordinate health information workflows across 15+ clinical departments
- Lead data quality initiatives with 99.5% accuracy targets
- Train 50+ staff on VA-specific health information systems
- Develop federal reporting dashboards for leadership decision-making
- Conduct quarterly audits on health information security protocols
- Collaborate with IT teams on system upgrades and cybersecurity measures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related field
- 3+ years federal healthcare data management experience
- RHIA/RHIT certification required
- Advanced proficiency in Epic EHR systems
- Familiarity with 21st Century Cures Act requirements
- Experience with VA VistA systems preferred
- Top Secret security clearance eligibility
- Expertise in ICD-10/CPT coding standards
