Responsibilities
- Lead complex public health data analysis and policy development initiatives for North Texas region
- Develop evidence-based recommendations to address health disparities and emerging public health threats
- Collaborate with federal, state, and local agencies to implement coordinated health strategies
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and legislative testimony for state officials
- Manage grant-funded public health programs and evaluate intervention effectiveness
- Train and mentor junior staff on public health analytics and policy frameworks
- Represent the department in community health coalitions and stakeholder forums
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Health Policy, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive experience in public health policy analysis or health program management
- Expertise in quantitative data analysis using SPSS, R, or SAS
- Proven track record developing successful health policy recommendations
- Strong knowledge of Texas public health systems and regulatory frameworks
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills with ability to present to diverse audiences
- Valid Texas driver's license and ability to travel statewide
