Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate comprehensive public health policies aligned with state and federal guidelines
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends and recommend strategic interventions
- Coordinate with local health departments, community organizations, and legislative stakeholders
- Prepare detailed policy briefs, legislative testimony, and implementation roadmaps
- Manage grant-funded projects with budgets exceeding $1M
- Lead interagency task forces on emerging public health challenges
- Monitor legislative developments and regulatory changes affecting public health
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in health policy analysis or public administration
- Expertise in quantitative/qualitative data analysis and statistical software (R, SPSS)
- Proven track record of developing successful health policies in government settings
- Strong knowledge of Texas public health statutes and federal regulations
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences
- Valid Texas driver's license and ability to travel statewide
