Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting chronic disease prevention and health equity
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends and inform strategic decision-making
- Coordinate interagency partnerships to address social determinants of health
- Prepare comprehensive grant proposals and manage public health initiatives
- Lead community outreach initiatives to increase health literacy and access to services
- Advocate for policy changes that advance population health outcomes
- Supervise junior staff and provide mentorship in public health methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive public health experience in government or non-profit settings
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., SAS, R)
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or equivalent credential
- Demonstrated success in securing federal/state health grants
- Experience developing health equity frameworks for diverse populations
- Strong policy analysis and legislative advocacy background
- Valid California driver's license
