Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive public health programs targeting chronic disease prevention and health equity
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends and inform strategic interventions
- Lead community outreach initiatives and stakeholder engagement across neighborhoods
- Oversee grant-funded projects and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Train and mentor junior staff on public health methodologies and best practices
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, schools, and nonprofits to create integrated health solutions
- Prepare detailed reports for county commissioners and public health advisory boards
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in public health program implementation
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Expertise in data analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, R) and health informatics
- Proven success in grant writing and managing public health budgets
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build diverse coalitions
- Valid Kentucky driver's license and ability to travel county-wide
