Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic communications plans for City initiatives and emergency responses
- Manage media relations, press conferences, and crisis communications protocols
- Oversee digital content creation across City websites and social media platforms

- Analyze public sentiment and adjust communication strategies accordingly

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive public sector communications experience
- Proven crisis management and media relations expertise
- Advanced proficiency in CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress) and analytics tools
- CA Public Information Officer certification preferred
- Experience managing municipal social media channels
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid California driver's license
- Proficiency in Spanish highly desirable
