Responsibilities
- Research and analyze complex urban policy issues using quantitative and qualitative methods
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations for City Council and mayoral initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on implementation strategies
- Present findings to diverse stakeholders including community groups and elected officials
- Monitor policy outcomes and prepare impact assessment reports
- Manage grant-funded research projects totaling $2M+ annually
- Maintain compliance with state/federal regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years experience in municipal government or public policy research
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis software (SPSS, R, or Stata)
- Proven track record of translating data into actionable policy recommendations
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Boston municipal processes preferred
- Valid Massachusetts driver's license required
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency status
