Responsibilities
- Analyze complex legislative proposals and regulatory frameworks using quantitative/qualitative methodologies
- Develop strategic policy recommendations aligned with state priorities and federal compliance
- Lead stakeholder engagement with legislators, agencies, and community organizations
- Prepare comprehensive reports and briefings for executive leadership
- Monitor federal/state legislative developments and assess implementation impacts
- Manage interdepartmental task forces to achieve policy objectives
- Present findings to legislative committees and public forums
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or regulated environment
- Expertise in California legislative process and federal-state dynamics
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis tools (R, Python, SAS)
- Superior written/verbal communication with executive presentation experience
- Valid California driver's license
- US citizenship required for security clearance
- Experience with grant management and budget formulation
