Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based policy recommendations for urban development initiatives
- Analyze complex municipal data to inform strategic decision-making for city council
- Lead cross-departmental task forces on housing, sustainability, and economic equity
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for public hearings and stakeholder meetings
- Manage grant applications and compliance for federal/state funding programs
- Mentor junior staff and coordinate interagency collaboration projects
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years experience in municipal government or public policy analysis
- Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Proven track record in developing equity-focused policy frameworks
- Valid California driver's license
- Clearance for federal background investigation
- Professional certification (e.g., ICMA, ASPA) preferred
