Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive data analysis models to identify crime trends and optimize emergency response protocols
- Collaborate with police/fire departments to implement evidence-based safety strategies
- Prepare detailed reports and policy recommendations for city council review
- Manage inter-agency coordination during public safety initiatives
- Oversee budget allocation for safety technology and equipment upgrades
- Lead crisis simulation exercises to test response effectiveness
- Ensure compliance with state/federal safety regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Criminal Justice, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in government/public safety analysis
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Tableau, and GIS mapping tools
- Demonstrated success in policy development and implementation
- Valid California driver's license
- Clearance for public sector security protocols
- Experience with emergency management systems (e.g., EMA, ICS)
