Responsibilities
- Analyze crime data and trends to inform strategic policy recommendations
- Coordinate with Oakland Police Department, Fire Department, and community organizations
- Develop and evaluate violence prevention program effectiveness
- Prepare comprehensive reports for City Council and public stakeholders
- Manage $2M+ grant funding allocations for safety initiatives
- Lead cross-departmental task force meetings
- Implement community engagement protocols for underserved neighborhoods
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of public safety policy analysis experience
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, R, and Tableau
- Proven track record in interagency collaboration
- Knowledge of California public sector regulations and grant compliance
- Valid California driver's license
- Experience with community-based participatory research
- Ability to work under pressure with urgent deadlines
