Responsibilities
- Analyze complex public safety data to identify trends and recommend strategic improvements for city operations.
- Collaborate with federal, state, and local agencies to ensure seamless interoperability of emergency communication systems.
- Oversee the implementation of new GIS and data visualization tools to enhance situational awareness.
- Prepare detailed reports and briefings for city officials and the public regarding safety metrics and project progress.
- Mentor junior analysts and conduct training sessions on compliance standards and data privacy regulations.
- Conduct audits of current government workflows to eliminate inefficiencies and reduce operational costs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in government contracting, public safety analysis, or civil service.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for large-scale data manipulation and statistical analysis.
- Deep understanding of California state compliance laws and federal information security standards (FISMA).
- Valid California Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical jargon for non-technical stakeholders.
