Responsibilities
- Dispatch police, fire, and emergency medical services with precision and urgency
- Operate multi-channel communication systems including radio, telephone, and computer-aided dispatch
- Maintain accurate incident documentation and digital records
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Provide emergency medical instructions via phone when needed
- Train and mentor new communication officers on protocols and procedures
- Participate in continuous improvement of emergency response systems
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of public safety dispatch experience
- NV Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) certification required
- Valid Nevada driver's license
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Exceptional communication skills under high-pressure situations
- Proficiency with computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems
- Clear background check and drug screening required
