Responsibilities
- Oversee the architecture, deployment, and maintenance of secure IT systems for various city agencies.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local data privacy regulations.
- Lead cross-functional teams in the modernization of legacy government software and open data platforms.
- Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and strategic support for critical public service applications.
- Collaborate with city administrators and stakeholders to define technical roadmaps and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee IT procurement processes to ensure fiscal responsibility.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, or software development within the public sector.
- Strong working knowledge of government contracting regulations, FOIA, and open data initiatives.
- Certifications such as CISSP, PMP, or AWS Solutions Architect are highly desirable.
- Proven ability to translate complex technical requirements into actionable plans for non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
