We're urgently seeking a dynamic Senior Public Works Manager to oversee critical municipal projects, ensuring efficient resource allocation and compliance with federal/state regulations. This leadership role requires proactive problem-solving and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality public services.
Responsibilities
- Manage capital improvement projects ($5M+ budget) including road maintenance and water system upgrades
- Supervise 15+ staff and contractors while enforcing OSHA and EPA safety standards
- Develop annual infrastructure plans using GIS mapping and asset management software
- Coordinate with federal/state agencies for grant compliance (FHWA, EPA)
- Lead emergency response teams during natural disasters
- Prepare monthly progress reports for County Commission
- Implement sustainable infrastructure practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or Public Administration (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years municipal infrastructure management experience
- Oklahoma PE license required
- Proven grant writing/fundraising success ($500K+ annually)
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and ESRI ArcGIS
- OSHA 30-hour certification
- Valid Oklahoma driver's license
- Experience with FEMA disaster recovery protocols
