Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end development of scalable web and mobile applications for county agencies.
- Design and implement secure, high-performance database architectures using SQL and NoSQL technologies.
- Mentor junior developers, conducting code reviews to maintain high standards of software quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product managers, UX designers, and stakeholders) to define project requirements.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from conception and design to testing and deployment.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local government security regulations and standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent years of experience).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of professional software engineering experience in a corporate or government setting.
- Expert proficiency in JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue.js) and backend technologies (Node.js, Python, or Java).
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
