  • System Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in legacy systems, modernizing them for improved user experience and speed.
  • Security & Compliance: Implement robust security protocols ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations and best practices.
  • Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including project managers, stakeholders, and system administrators, to deliver on-time projects.
  • Documentation: Create comprehensive technical documentation, API specifications, and architectural diagrams.

  • Tech Stack: Proficiency in Java, Python, or C#; experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues independently.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for translating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement scalable web applications and APIs using modern frameworks.
  • Oversee the software development lifecycle (SDLC) including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
  • Ensure high availability, reliability, and security of county-wide IT systems.
  • Drive the adoption of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Maintain and upgrade existing legacy codebases to support current business requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical field.
