Responsibilities
- Manage and administer the State Pension Plan, ensuring accurate record-keeping and disbursements.
- Analyze data to prepare reports for state legislative committees and executive leadership.
- Conduct compliance audits to ensure adherence to state and federal pension laws.
- Collaborate with inter-agency task forces to improve pension policy and efficiency.
- Provide exceptional customer service to retirees and state employees regarding pension inquiries.
- Develop training materials for new staff regarding pension procedures and regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in government administration or pension management.
- Strong knowledge of Georgia state government regulations and public sector financial systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and government-specific software.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
