Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructure and server environments.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems to protect government data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to migrate legacy systems to modern cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Conduct regular security audits and compliance checks in adherence to federal regulations.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior system administrators and IT support staff.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Systems Administrator or in a similar IT role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong proficiency in Linux (RHEL/CentOS) and Windows Server environments.
- Hands-on experience with cloud computing services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Familiarity with government security standards (NIST, FISMA) is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a Remote/Hybrid team setting.
