Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain enterprise infrastructure, including Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Implement and monitor security protocols to ensure compliance with government standards and protect sensitive citizen data.
- Perform system administration duties such as patch management, user account provisioning, and troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy IT solutions that enhance operational efficiency for county departments.
- Document system configurations and procedures to maintain knowledge bases and support knowledge transfer.
- Respond to incidents and outages with a focus on minimizing downtime and restoring services as quickly as possible.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Certifications: Active CompTIA Security+ or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems administration within a large-scale environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, PowerShell, and backup/recovery solutions.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Soft Skills: Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced government office setting.
