Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and security of Windows Server environments and Active Directory.
- Design, implement, and troubleshoot network infrastructure solutions including VPNs, firewalls, and switches.
- Manage cloud migration projects (Azure/AWS) and ensure strict compliance with federal and state cybersecurity standards (NIST).
- Monitor system performance and uptime, responding to incidents with minimal downtime using standard ITIL processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent military/technical experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in system administration within a government or enterprise environment.
- Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, CompTIA Security+, or CISSP are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of PowerShell scripting and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
