Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise-grade cybersecurity solutions for federal systems
- Monitor network security infrastructure using advanced SIEM tools
- Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments on classified systems
- Develop incident response plans and lead security breach mitigation
- Ensure compliance with NIST, FISMA, and federal security frameworks
- Collaborate with cross-agency security teams on threat intelligence sharing
- Maintain documentation of security policies and audit trails
- Provide weekend on-call support for critical security incidents
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain federal security clearance (required)
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT security with federal systems
- CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification (mandatory)
- Expertise in cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP) and zero-trust architecture
- Experience with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and security automation
- Demonstrated ability to work independently during weekend shifts
- Strong written communication skills for security reporting and documentation
