Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex IT systems and software solutions for municipal departments.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and system architecture.
- Lead troubleshooting and resolution efforts for critical infrastructure issues affecting city operations.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local government regulations and security standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows and improve data management processes.
- Conduct system performance tuning and capacity planning to support growing data demands.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior analysts and IT staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems analysis, software development, or IT infrastructure management.
- Experience working within a government or public sector environment is highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, or Java; familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder presentations.
- Ability to obtain necessary security clearances or government credentials as required.
