Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough analysis of complex business requirements and translate them into detailed technical specifications and system designs.
- Design, develop, and implement robust software solutions using Java, Python, and modern frameworks to support transportation logistics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers and developers, to ensure seamless system integration and data integrity.
- Lead code reviews, perform system audits, and provide technical mentorship to junior analysts and developers.
- Maintain and upgrade legacy systems to meet current security standards, compliance regulations, and performance benchmarks.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee third-party system integrations to ensure delivery meets GDOT standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in systems analysis, software development, or IT project management within the public or private sector.
- Proficiency in SQL, Java, JavaScript, and Cloud technologies (AWS or Azure preferred).
- Strong understanding of government compliance standards, including FISMA, NIST, and OMB circulars.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven government environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
