Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis, design, and implementation of complex software systems and applications to meet agency requirements.
- Conduct thorough requirements gathering and translate business needs into technical specifications and system architecture.
- Oversee the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), ensuring quality assurance and timely delivery of projects.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, and project managers to resolve technical issues and optimize system performance.
- Mentor junior analysts and technical staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and best practices.
- Ensure all systems comply with federal, state, and local government regulations and security standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in systems analysis, software development, or project management.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Java, Python, or similar programming languages.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable background investigation/security clearance.
