Responsibilities
- Architect and deploy scalable cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) for government applications.
- Oversee the design and maintenance of on-premise and hybrid network environments.
- Lead incident response and troubleshooting for complex system outages.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize legacy systems.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal and local cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, FISMA).
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct rigorous technical code reviews.
- Document system architecture and operational procedures for continuity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or network administration.
- Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Professional or CCNP are highly desirable.
- Experience with DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Jenkins).
- Strong understanding of network protocols, virtualization, and cloud services.
- Ability to obtain a DC Government security clearance.
