Responsibilities
- Lead Architectural Vision: Design and oversee the implementation of the central data hub and cloud infrastructure for the 2026 tournament.
- High-Performance Engineering: Ensure real-time data streaming and low-latency connectivity for global broadcasts and live scoring.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with international committees, security experts, and venue operations to ensure technical compliance across the US, Canada, and Mexico.
- Team Leadership: Mentor a diverse team of DevOps, Cloud, and Security engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and precision.
- Cybersecurity Oversight: Implement rigorous security protocols to protect against cyber threats during peak high-traffic events.
- Legacy Modernization: Oversee the integration of modern APIs with existing sports management systems to ensure seamless operations.
Qualifications
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in large-scale systems architecture and technical project management.
- Tech Stack: Deep expertise in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform; proficiency in Python, Java, or Go.
- Global Experience: Proven track record of working on major international events or high-concurrency platforms.
- Certifications: PMP, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Leadership: Strong ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
