Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) for state-level IT projects.
- Translate complex government policies into actionable technical requirements.
- Ensure strict compliance with state and federal cybersecurity regulations (e.g., NIST, HIPAA).
- Oversee vendor relationships and manage project budgets effectively.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies and drive continuous improvement in team processes.
- Communicate project status, risks, and technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in software engineering, IT project management, or systems analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Experience working within a state or federal government environment is highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and modern programming languages (Python, Java).
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage conflicting priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
