Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive transportation plans for Baltimore metropolitan area
- Analyze traffic patterns and recommend infrastructure improvements
- Coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies on project alignment
- Manage multimodal transportation initiatives (road, rail, transit, pedestrian)
- Prepare grant applications and funding proposals
- Conduct environmental impact assessments and compliance reviews
- Lead public engagement sessions and stakeholder communications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of transportation planning experience
- Valid Maryland Professional Engineer (PE) or Planner (AICP) license
- Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS) and traffic modeling tools
- Demonstrated experience with federal transportation regulations
- Strong analytical and project management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to obtain security clearance for sensitive projects
