Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based transportation policies aligned with state strategic goals
- Analyze complex datasets and legislative impacts to inform infrastructure investment decisions
- Coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies to ensure regulatory compliance
- Lead stakeholder engagement initiatives with community leaders and industry partners
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and presentations for executive leadership
- Monitor emerging transportation technologies and their policy implications
- Manage multi-year infrastructure project budgets and resource allocation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Expertise in transportation infrastructure funding mechanisms and grant management
- Proficient in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and statistical analysis
- Demonstrated success in developing policy recommendations adopted by state agencies
- Valid Texas Driver's License with clean driving record
- Strong knowledge of federal transportation regulations (FTA, FHWA)
