Responsibilities
- Operate advanced X-ray and millimeter wave scanners to detect prohibited items
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and baggage inspections with precision
- Manage airport checkpoint security protocols during peak travel periods
- Document security incidents and maintain detailed compliance records
- Mentor junior screeners on TSA procedures and customer service standards
- Collaborate with law enforcement during emergency response situations
- Ensure ADA compliance while screening passengers with disabilities
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship with valid government security clearance
- High school diploma or equivalent with 3+ years security screening experience
- Proficiency in TSA's EDS imaging technology and threat detection protocols
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Exceptional communication skills in English and Spanish (preferred)
- Successfully pass TSA's pre-employment background and fitness tests
- Experience in high-volume security environments (airports, events, etc.)
