Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive urban planning initiatives for Boston's downtown redevelopment projects
- Conduct data-driven impact assessments for zoning modifications and infrastructure investments
- Coordinate with federal/state agencies to secure grant funding for transportation and sustainability projects
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations for city council and mayoral office
- Manage cross-functional teams of engineers, architects, and community liaisons
- Present findings to public stakeholders and legislative bodies
- Oversee compliance with federal ADA and environmental regulations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years experience in municipal government planning or equivalent public sector role
- Proficiency in GIS software and urban modeling platforms
- Demonstrated success securing federal/state infrastructure grants
- Strong knowledge of Massachusetts land-use regulations and permitting processes
- Exceptional written communication with policy brief samples required
- Valid Massachusetts driver's license
- Professional AICP certification preferred
