Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to state employees and the general public via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Process and review applications, forms, and documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Answer high-volume inquiries regarding state policies, procedures, and agency programs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in digital filing systems and databases.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to resolve complex issues efficiently.
- Assist in the training of new staff members on departmental software and protocols.
- Uphold a professional demeanor and adhere to all state ethics and confidentiality guidelines.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service, administrative support, or a related government field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and database management systems.
- Must possess excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid NC driver's license and reliable transportation are preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
